Bio

Ulysse Dutoit is a film maker, photographer, scriptwriter and producer of educational French programs. He taught at the Ecole Normale and the University of Lausanne in Switzerland, Rutgers University, and Hunter College before coming to Berkeley in 1975.

Dutoit teaches French Cinema and Auteur courses on Renais. He is the author (with Leo Bersani) of Arts of Impoverishment: Beckett, Rothko, Renais, (Harvard University Press, 1993).
