To
be eligible for admissions to the Honors program in Film, students
must have attained senior standing with a grade-point average of 3.3
or higher in all UC Berkeley coursework, and a 3.5 grade-point average
or higher in all upper division courses in the major taken at UC Berkeley.
Students in the honors program will enroll in Film H195 for four units,
and complete a senior honors thesis. It is expected that the thesis
will be a substantial piece of writing on film criticism, film theory,
or film history. The production of a film or writing of a screenplay
may be used as part of the preparation of the thesis and submitted
as documentation or as an example. |
